Course Syllabus

This is your Course Syllabus page. It's the core of your WriteAtHome course. Below you'll find the syllabus itself. You can scroll through the whole course, but only the current week's course material will be available to you. That's how we will pace you through the course. The date in the left-hand column is the due date for each week's assignment.

Each week, you'll click on your week's lesson/quiz and assignment. Read your lesson and take the quiz that follows. If you read carefully, the quiz will be easy. The quiz is immediately scored and recorded in your gradebook. After completing the quiz, click on the assignment and find out what work you've been given for the week. The assignment is always due the next Thursday and will be returned from your writing coach the Thursday after that. You may turn it in early, but that won't speed up the return of the paper. 

You can complete your writing assignment when it fits your schedule. Write it using any word processing program you like, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. When you are ready, submit the paper by uploading the file. The link in the upper-right hand corner of your assignment page will walk you through it. 

Important: Don't submit your paper until you are fully ready to do so. This platform allows you to resubmit the assignment, but this can cause confusion if your writing coach has already begun marking it. If you must resubmit a paper, please contact your writing coach first and get their permission.
